A downloadable simulation

This is a simulator of a box with particles, calculating the Lennard-Jones potential between all the particles using the GPU. The tool allows you to adjust the density and temperature of the matter in the box to explore the various states of matter and their phase changes this medium exibits.

In the simulation, the particles are indicated red when they are unbounded, blue when loosly bounded, and green when strongly bounded to other particles. In a very loose sense, this can be tied to a somewhat gasious, liquid, and solid behavior. For more information on the math and related article with references to tutorials that were used for inspiration, see: 1v3d.com.

Note that the phase diagram included in the simulator was adapted for simplification from the original found here: Wikipedia
